The Moscow Puppet Theatre would like to announce a call for productions to be presented during the International Moscow Puppet Festival GEFEST.
The next 3rd festival’s edition will take place in Moscow, Russia on October 25 – 31, 2019.
The purpose of the GEFEST-2019 is presentation of non-standard and new technologies in puppetry, including IT-technology, robotics and original inventions of master puppeteers.
GEFEST’s billboard will include performances for spectators of all ages, exhibitions of mechanical dolls, automatons, robots, automatic theatres and interactive show programs using robotics.
GEFEST’s festival program includes round tables, master classes and lectures on “art machines” history, technology and its prospects for the world theatre.
GEFEST will be attended by unique companies from the UK, Japan, France, Italy, Australia, Russia and other countries.
The official consultant of the festival is Zaven Paré, the famous artist and master of the remotely controlled electronic puppets.
The author of the GEFEST’s idea and art director of the festival is historian on puppetry Dr. Boris Goldovsky.
If you have in your repertoire the shows with unusual mechanical or robotic puppets the GEFEST is for you. This is where you can demonstrate your skills and ideas.
The festival will cover (up to 4 people): travel expenses, accommodation, board, and provide free admission to all performances and festival’s events.
